We started Perfect Benefits to solve the benefits deficit for corporate America. And we’ve reinvented it for SMBs.

Here’s our story:

Educate the market.

It started with a single goal. Educate the market.

Our roots trace back to 1989 where we were originally founded as a health insurance brokerage firm focused on educating the large company market – employers with 100 or more employees – on the power of self funding insurance.

Teaching self funding proved to be a winning formula and over the years our clients have realized millions of dollars in savings on their health insurance premiums.

But this was just the beginning…

A bigger opportunity.

When the Affordable Care Act of 2010 was passed, it allowed us to extend our solutions to the small and medium size business market.

The new rules of ACA allowed us to leverage the same strategies the big corporations used and apply it to the smaller segment, which was mostly underserved and misinformed.

This meant we could now impact a greater number of companies and help in a more meaningful way.

And this was a stepping stone for bigger things…

Expanded coverage and passion.

In 2019, we re-invented ourselves.

We expanded our lines of coverage to include workers compensation, commercial auto and liability insurance. And more importantly, we committed to turning the traditional broker image upside down.

The industry thrives on customers’ continuing ignorance. And we’d had enough. We set out to be advisors to our clients business, not just brokers selling insurance, even at the behest of our own commissions.

We’ve remained true to our initial mission – benefits education. And we’ve doubled down on teaching our clients how to break the renewal status quo and move upstream with their funding strategy.

Doing things differently.

Today, we’re a diversified benefits and insurance agency with more than 40 different carrier options available to our clients.

But we’re far from traditional. We continue to find creative funding strategies for our clients and design plans that deliver world class coverage with low premiums.
